These lists show which games have problems with the DECKARD models
The PS2 uses the PS1 CPU "MIPS R3000A" as IOP and is clocked at 36,864 MHz. In PS1 mode it clocks down to 33,8688 MHz for emulation compatibility. Since the SCPH-750xx Slim model, it was replaced with a "PowerPC 405" CPU which emulates the "R3000A". The emulation is called "DECKARD". This change occur problems with PS1 and PS2 games. Since the SCPH-770xx model, Sony fixed some PS2 games by adding compatibility tweaks to the XPARAM file in the Boot-ROM. If you're look at the incompatibility list by Sony Japan, you can see that they fixed no PS1 game. My favourite PS1 game "Star Wars Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace" is unplayable on the DECKARD models. It's not on any list by Sony. I combined the official lists by Sony America, Europe and Japan. I've done that also on Wikipedia, but some people adding games without proofs or removing games, that were reported by Sony. For my lists i made tables. You can see at one page which games have issues running on these models. On the top you can find the affected PS1 games and below the affected PS2 games.
